PM visits Suhrawardy Hospital to see injured persons

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital to see victims of recent nationwide unrest during the quota reform movement. She inquired about their condition and instructed proper treatment. The PM was visibly emotional upon witnessing the injuries. This visit follows her earlier trips to other hospitals and damaged sites, including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, DMCH, and NITOR. Clash in Shanir Akhra, Kazla, Jatrabari; vehicles stuck on Hanif flyover

Southern routes’ bus charging extra fare, passengers allege

Bus operators on southern routes from Dhaka’s Sayedabad terminal are allegedly charging extra fares from Eid holidaymakers, taking advantage of the rush. Passengers claim they are being forced to pay up to 60% higher fares as buses refuse to sell tickets at regular rates. Obaidul Quader off to Singapore for medical check-up

Obaidul Quader, the Road Transport and Bridges Minister of Bangladesh and General Secretary of the ruling Awami League party, left Dhaka for Singapore on Tuesday morning for a routine medical check-up. He departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8 am on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight and is expected to undergo the check-up at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore before returning home soon.
