A suspected drug trader, Nezam Uddin from Cox’s Bazar, was killed in a reported gunfight between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and drug traders in Ramu upazila early today. BGB said around 200 smugglers led by Nezam attacked their patrol team, who fired back in self-defence. 98 cartons of cigarettes and 20,000 yaba pills were recovered from the spot.
