The US Ambassador to Bangladesh, Peter D. Haas, has resigned in protest over a sudden shift in US foreign policy regarding Bangladesh’s general elections. In a concerning development, North Korean soldiers have suffered casualties from landmine explosions while carrying out construction work in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) separating the two Koreas since late 2022.
