The Buddhist community in Bangladesh will celebrate Madhu Purnima, or Honey Full Moon Festival, on September 17, 2024. This festival commemorates the service of animals to Buddha in the Parilyeyo forest. Celebrations include hoisting flags, chanting verses, breaking fasts, offering honey, and blood donations.
