Lord of the Rings’ star McKellen hospitalised after stage fall
Ian McKellen, the 85-year-old veteran British actor known for playing Gandalf in the “Lord of the Rings” films, was hospitalized after falling from the stage during a performance of “Player Kings” in London’s West End on Monday. Though he underwent scans, the theater confirmed McKellen is in good spirits and expected to make a full recovery. The animated sequel ‘Inside Out 2’ had a smashing debut at the North American box office, earning a whopping $155 million and dethroning ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ from the top spot. Will Smith’s action comedy slipped to second place with $33 million. The sci-fi flick ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ came in third with $5.2 million. X

The makers of the upcoming sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ unveiled an intriguing poster featuring Deepika Padukone in an intense look, wearing a ripped shawl outfit. Sharing it, Deepika captioned “The hope begins with her.” Her husband Ranveer Singh praised her as a “stunner.” Last month, a teaser showed Amitabh Bachchan’s character awaiting the “Dasavatar” in a futuristic setting.
