20 individuals and organizations received the Tourism Award

Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) honored 20 individuals and organizations with TOAB International Tourism Award (TITA) for their contributions to various tourism sectors. The awards were handed over by Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Muhammad Faruk Khan at a ceremony in Dhaka today. Special awards were also given to TOAB founding members and individuals. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries including the Nepal Ambassador, Singapore Chargé d’Affaires, FBCCI President, and Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary as guests.

MAB launches new virtual platform to foster local economic development

The Municipal Association of Bangladesh (MAB), in collaboration with the PRABRIDDHI project, launched a revamped Virtual Platform to foster local economic development and showcase best practices for municipal development. Md Tazul Islam MP, the Local Government Minister, inaugurated the platform and a digital training for municipal staff. The platform aims to connect 329 municipalities through a website and social media, promoting the Local Economic Development model and contributing to national development goals.

Berger Paints Bangladesh launches the 11th Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture (BAEA)

Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited (BPBL), in collaboration with the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), launched the 11th Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture (BAEA) at a press conference in Dhaka. The award aims to honor outstanding architectural projects in the country. Seven projects will be awarded, with each winner receiving Tk. 200,000, a trophy, and a certificate. The judging panel comprises renowned architects, and the last date for nomination submission is June 14, 2024. The award seeks to inspire and encourage architects to pursue excellence.
