Curfew for indefinite period from 6pm today
The Bangladesh government imposed an indefinite curfew from 6:00 PM Sunday across all divisional towns, city corporations, municipalities, district and upazila headquarters, and industrial areas due to widespread clashes. This decision comes after 52 people died in confrontations between protesters demanding government resignation and ruling party activists. The curfew, initially imposed on July 19, has now been extended nationwide except for villages, in response to escalating violence.
