Dangerous skin diseases spreading among Gaza children
In Gaza’s tent cities, over 150,000 people have contracted skin diseases due to poor living conditions and lack of sanitation, according to the WHO. Scabies, chickenpox, lice, and other infections are widespread among displaced residents, particularly affecting children. The situation is exacerbated by polluted water, malnutrition, and inadequate hygiene facilities. Health workers fear the spread of more severe conditions like leishmaniasis as the humanitarian crisis deepens. Source AFP
