Dengue and its ramifications in student dormitories
Since last April, Bangladesh has seen an increase in dengue outbreaks, resulting in a total of 321,179 cases recorded in 2023. The incidence of this disease is higher in student dormitories. A student from Chittagong Medical College reported that the number of mosquitoes has increased due to lack of cleanliness. A BUET student said many students are contracting dengue, which is hampering their studies. However, adequate precautionary measures are being taken at the Armed Forces Medical College. Joint efforts by authorities and students are necessary to tackle this situation. Source:Daily Star
