Dengue claims nine lives
Bangladesh recorded its highest single-day dengue death toll this year, with nine fatalities in 24 hours. The total death count has risen to 210, making it the third-highest since 2000. Additionally, 915 new patients were hospitalized, bringing the total cases to 41,810. Experts attribute the high mortality to late hospitalization, quick onset of shock syndrome, and recurrent infections.
