DMP imposes ban on gatherings in areas around Biswa Ijtema ground

Dhaka Metropolitan Police have banned all gatherings in Uttara and surrounding areas following a violent clash near Biswa Ijtema ground that left two dead and 26 injured. The restriction, imposed under Section 29 of the DMP Ordinance, takes effect at 2:00 PM today and will remain in place until further notice.
