Dr Mohammad Azam made new DG of Bangla Academy

Dr Mohammad Azam, an associate professor of Bengali at the University of Dhaka, has been appointed as the director general of the Bangla Academy. Born in 1975 in Noakhali, Dr Azam holds a PhD in Bengali language colonization and decolonization. His research interests include literature, aesthetics, history, politics, and cultural studies. He has authored and edited several books. The Ministry of Culture’s Secretary, Khalil Ahmed, confirmed the appointment, which was communicated to Dr Azam by the Ministry of Public Administration.READ FULL
