Dubai-bound passenger detained with foreign currency worth Tk 2.44cr at Ctg airport

A Dubai-bound passenger, Md Jakir Hossain, was detained at Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport by NSI and CIID officials. He was found carrying undeclared foreign currency worth approximately Tk 2.44 crore, including Saudi Riyal and UAE Dirham. Hossain, who frequently traveled to Middle Eastern countries, is suspected of involvement in hundi transactions. He will face money laundering charges and be handed over to the police.READ FULL
