By Redoy K

A 120-meter section of a dyke in Kurigram’s Nageshwari upazila collapsed, causing the Dudhkumar River to flood 17 villages. The river is flowing 20cm above danger level. Over 3,000 families are affected, with many evacuating. Local officials report significant damage to homes and crops. The Water Development Board plans to use sand-filled geobags as a temporary fix and construct a new dyke during the dry season. Source:Daily Star
