Ethiopian Airlines begins operations in Dhaka, connecting Bangladesh to Africa

Ethiopian Airlines launched direct flights between Addis Ababa and Dhaka today, with its Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner receiving a water cannon salute at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The airline will operate five weekly flights, connecting Bangladesh to over 140 global destinations. Officials from both countries welcomed the service, which aims to boost trade and tourism ties.
