Ex-minister Golam Dastagir Gazi arrested

Former Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi was arrested in Dhaka’s Shantinagar area around 3:00 AM. Police apprehended him from a house in Pirergoli after a group besieged the location. He is accused in a case filed in Narayanganj. Dastagir is currently being held at the DB office due to damage to the local police station from recent violence. Daily Star
