Fascist motif rebuilt overnight after vandalism with spirit of resistance

A “monstrous fascist face” motif symbolizing last year’s student uprising in Bangladesh was burned before the UNESCO-recognized Anondo Shobhajatra procession for Pahela Baishakh (Bengali New Year). Undeterred, Dhaka University Fine Art students worked through the night to rebuild it in time for today’s celebrations.
