Fire breaks out on LPG tanker at Kutubdia anchorage

A fire broke out on the LPG tanker B-LPG Sophia, owned by Bashundhara Group, at Kutubdia anchorage early Sunday. The incident occurred during a ship-to-ship LPG transfer. All 31 people on board, including 18 crew members from Bangladesh, Indonesia, and India, were rescued. Coast Guard and Navy vessels responded to the emergency. The mother vessel, Captain Nikolas, remained safe, but the lighter vessel was drifting freely. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.READ FULL
