Google hit with a revived lawsuit over personal data collection
A US appeals court revived a lawsuit against Google, claiming the company collected personal data from Chrome users who didn’t sync their browsers with Google accounts. The court ruled that a lower court judge should reassess user consent. This follows Google’s recent settlement over tracking in “Incognito” mode. Google disagrees with the ruling, while plaintiffs’ lawyers are pleased. The case returns to a California district court. Reuters
