Balvant Khabad, son of Gujarat Minister Bachubhai Khabad, was arrested for involvement in a ₹71 crore MGNREGA fraud. The scam involved 35 agencies receiving payments for incomplete or non-existent work between 2021-2024. Former Taluka Development Officer Darshan Patel was also arrested, bringing total arrests to seven.
