Afghanistan Reports 140 New COVID-19 Cases in 24 Hours

Ministry of Public Health reported Monday, that out of 1,699 samples, 140 cases have turned positive in the last 24 hours.

At least 195,405 people have so far been tested in the governmental labs, and there still are 7,640 known active cases in the country.

According to the ministry, within 24 hours, 279 individuals have Recovered from COVID-19, and nine individuals are reported dead.

The new cases recorded in Kabul are 26, Herat 21, Kandahar 20, Balkh Four, Nangarhar Nine, Takhar 16, Paktya Two, Dykundi Two, Ghazni One, Wardak Three, Helmand Three, Laghman Four, Kapisa 19, Kunar One, Farah Five, Uruzgan Two, and Faryab Two.

The total number of cases in Afghanistan is 52,147, Total deaths are 2,179 and the total recoveries are recorded 41,610.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 80,830,708 and the dead are reported to more than 1,765,739 according to Johns Hopkins’ global dashboard.
