Heatwave likely to abate in some areas: BMD

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicts the current mild to moderate heatwave affecting parts of the country may subside in some areas within 24 hours. The heatwave is currently impacting Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh divisions, and Sylhet and Jashore districts. Light to moderate rain with gusty winds is expected in many areas, with some heavy falls. The highest temperature yesterday was 39.4°C in Saidpur, while the lowest was 23.5°C in Srimangal and Feni.
