Indian authorities cancel visa and detain Bangladeshi tourist over anti-india posts
Alamgir Sheikh, a 34-year-old Bangladeshi tourist, was detained by Indian authorities and had his visa canceled due to anti-India posts on social media. Sheikh, from Lalmonirhat, made controversial statements during a live broadcast from the Taj Mahal, calling for the division of India and return of certain states to Bangladesh. He was identified and detained at the Changrabandha immigration checkpoint on Sunday.
