Japan, EU to announce new defence pact
Japan and the EU are set to announce a new security partnership on Friday, focusing on joint military exercises, defense industry cooperation, and senior-level dialogue. The pact addresses maritime security, space, cybersecurity, and hybrid threats. Japanese Foreign Minister Iwaya emphasized the challenging security environment, while EU’s Borrell visits Tokyo before heading to South Korea.
