Khaleda admitted to hospital again

Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, 79, was readmitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka early today due to illness. The BNP Chairperson, who suffers from multiple health issues including liver cirrhosis, had just returned home on July 2 after a 10-day hospital stay for pacemaker implantation. Her doctors have been recommending treatment abroad since her liver cirrhosis diagnosis in 2021. Zia has been receiving frequent medical care since her conditional release from prison in 2020.
