Liveability Index: Dhaka falls two places, ranks 6th least liveable city

Dhaka has fallen two places to 168th in the Economist Group’s Global Liveability Index 2024, just above Karachi. Vienna tops the list, followed by Copenhagen, Zurich, Melbourne, and Calgary. The index evaluates 173 cities based on stability, healthcare, culture, education, and infrastructure. Despite a slight increase in the average score to 76.1 out of 100, improvements were limited due to geopolitical conflicts, civil unrest, and housing crises in many cities. Daily Star
