A 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck off Russia’s Kamchatka coast at a depth of 51 km, as reported by the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre. While the US National Tsunami Warning Center initially warned of a potential tsunami threat, Russia’s regional emergency ministry stated there was no such danger.
