Maldives labour market for Bangladeshis closed again

The Maldives has closed its labor market for Bangladeshi workers again after fulfilling the quota of 100,000 foreign workers from a single country allowed by law. Though the market reopened in December 2023 after a 4-year gap, over 6,400 Bangladeshi workers who obtained clearances could not go as visas were not issued since April.
