‘Massive’, ‘Historic’: Shanto hails maiden Test win over Pakistan
Bangladesh secured their first-ever Test victory against Pakistan with a 10-wicket win in Rawalpindi. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto hailed it as “massive” and “historic”. Spinners Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan were crucial, taking seven wickets between them in Pakistan’s second innings. Mushfiqur Rahim’s 191 helped Bangladesh gain a 117-run first-innings lead. The visitors chased down the 30-run target easily, going 1-0 up in the two-match series.
