McIntosh swims fastest 200 fly in 15 years for gold

Canadian swimming prodigy Summer McIntosh, 17, clinched Olympic gold in the women’s 200m butterfly with a stunning time of 2:03.03, the second-fastest in history. She outpaced American Regan Smith and defending champion Zhang Yufei of China. McIntosh’s performance was just shy of the world record set in 2009. This marks her third medal in Paris, following gold in the 400m medley and silver in the 400m freestyle. She remains the favorite for the upcoming 200m medley event. AFP
