Myanmar flood death toll climbs to 419

The death toll from flooding and landslides caused by Typhoon Yagi in Myanmar has risen to 419, according to the junta. The disaster has affected nearly 887,000 people, exacerbating the ongoing humanitarian crisis following the 2021 military coup. Typhoon Yagi swept across several Southeast Asian countries, causing widespread destruction. The floods have particularly impacted remote areas, complicating communication and relief efforts.
