Mystery Of Missing World War II Bomber Attacked By Nazis Solved After 82 Years
A Royal Australian Air Force bomber shot down by Nazi fighters in 1943 has been discovered 61 meters deep near Antikythera, Greece. Greek diving group AegeanTec located the Baltimore FW282 wreck, which has now been officially identified. The aircraft carried crew from Australia, New Zealand, and Britain, with three members killed during the attack. Only Australian pilot William Horsley survived, becoming a German prisoner.
