New Fenerbahce coach Mourinho arrives in Istanbul

Jose Mourinho, the two-time Champions League-winning coach, arrived in Istanbul on Sunday ahead of his unveiling as the new manager of Turkish club Fenerbahce. The 61-year-old Portuguese, who won the Champions League with Porto and Inter Milan, hasn’t worked since being sacked by Roma in January. Greeted by Fenerbahce fans at the airport, Mourinho is expected to sign a two-year contract with the Istanbul club, which hasn’t won the domestic league in a decade. PHOTO: AFP
