No outsider can stay in residential halls: DU

By Redoy K

Dhaka University has taken five decisions to address the confrontational situation over quota reform issues. These include banning outsiders from residential halls, requiring students to remain peacefully in their halls, and instructing provosts and house tutors to stay overnight in halls to prevent further incidents. The university’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal, announced these measures after an emergency meeting of the Provost Standing Committee. Students were also advised to avoid misleading information and subversive activities to maintain a peaceful campus atmosphere.
