Now Comilla Uni students block Dhaka-Ctg highway, 10km gridlock

Students from Comilla University have blocked the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Kotbari, protesting the reinstatement of the quota system in government jobs. The blockade, which began at 12:30 pm, has caused a 10km tailback. Over 1,000 students are demanding reform of the quota system, arguing that the current 30% quota undervalues merit. Vehicles are stranded, and police have been deployed to control the situation. The protesters vow to continue until their demands are met.
