Online activist Pinaki exempted from DSA case

A Dhaka Cyber Tribunal has acquitted online activist Pinaki Bhattacharya and former JCD joint secretary Mofizur Rahman Ashique in a Digital Security Act case. The case was filed by CTTC SI M Abdullah Maruf in October 2022, accusing them of tarnishing the country’s image through a Facebook post. Judge Nur-e-Alam refused to take cognizance of the charge sheet submitted on October 9. Former journalist Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey was dropped from the charges.READ FULL
