Petrobangla cancels LNG spot cargo deliveries

By Redoy K

Bangladesh’s state-owned Petrobangla has canceled some spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports after one of the country’s two LNG import terminals was damaged during a cyclone, leaving it unable to receive shipments. Petrobangla canceled four spot cargoes scheduled for late May to mid-June delivery from suppliers like Gunvor and QatarEnergy. The damaged Summit LNG terminal has a regasification capacity of 500 million cubic feet per day and supplies gas to the national grid.
