PM likely to visit India June 21-22, China July 9-12

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to visit New Delhi on June 21-22 and Beijing on July 9-12 to strengthen Bangladesh’s ties with India and China, two major economic powers in Asia. Her visit to India will be the first bilateral engagement with PM Modi since September 2022. The upcoming China visit, dubbed a “game-changer” by the Chinese ambassador, aims to boost trade, investment, cultural exchange and align with Bangladesh’s “Vision 2041” and “Smart Bangladesh” goals. The visits hold significance for deepening strategic partnerships with the neighboring giants.
