Poet Asim Saha no more

Prominent Bangladeshi poet Asim Saha passed away on Tuesday afternoon around 4 pm at BSMMU Hospital in Dhaka. Malek Mahmud, another poet, confirmed his demise. Saha had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease, constipation, and diabetes. He received the prestigious Ekushey Padak in 2019 and the Bangla Academy Award in 2012 for his contributions to Bengali language and literature. REUTERS
