Police and BCL, Jubo League men attack students in Palashi

In Dhaka’s Palashi area, police dispersed quota reform protesters using tear gas and sound grenades as they attempted to march from Azimpur. Chhatra League and Jubo League members subsequently attacked the dispersing protesters with bamboo sticks and iron rods near Chapra Mosque. The number of casualties is unknown. Police maintained their position in Palashi after the protesters scattered, while Chhatra League and Jubo League members stationed themselves at various points in Azimpur and Palashi areas. Daily Star
