Quota protests: Another dies from bullet wounds
A 17-year-old boy, Mohammad Emon, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital from bullet wounds sustained during recent violence in Bangladesh’s capital. He was shot on July 19 during clashes between police and protesters in Natun Bazar area. Emon’s death brings the total fatalities related to the quota reform protests to 209, according to The Daily Star’s count. The actual toll may be higher due to unconfirmed reports of critically injured victims at various hospitals.
