Rohit tried to get Dravid to stay on as India coach

India captain Rohit Sharma expressed disappointment over Rahul Dravid’s decision to step down as the team’s head coach after the T20 World Cup. Rohit praised Dravid as “a big role model” and said he tried unsuccessfully to convince him to stay on. Dravid’s contract expires at the end of the month, and he has decided not to reapply after nearly three years in charge of the Indian team. PHOTO: X
