Ronaldo breaks Saudi League’s single-season scoring record

Cristiano Ronaldo capped his first full Saudi Pro League season in style, breaking the record for most goals scored in a single campaign. The 39-year-old Portuguese striker scored a brace for Al Nasr against Al Ittihad, taking his tally to 35 goals and surpassing the previous record of 34 held by former Al Nasr forward Abderrazak Hamdallah. Ronaldo, who joined Al Nasr in January 2023 after stints at top European clubs, achieved this feat in his debut season in Saudi Arabia. PHOTO: REUTERS
