Scientific equipment for Luna-26, Luna-27 missions almost ready – academician

Russia’s lunar program progresses as scientific equipment for Luna-26 and Luna-27 missions nears completion, according to Space Research Institute director Lev Zeleny. While Roscosmos supports building two orbiters, funding constraints have delayed final decisions. The Luna-27 mission, targeting either the Moon’s North Pole or far side, is slated for launch around 2028.
