Steps to be taken to bring Hasina back to country: ICT chief prosecutor

Bangladesh’s new International Crimes Tribunal Chief Prosecutor, Md Tajul Islam, announced plans to seek Sheikh Hasina’s extradition from India. He aims to try the former prime minister for alleged mass killings during student protests in July and August. The prosecutor intends to file for arrest warrants against Hasina and other accused once the tribunal resumes. The government may consider amending the ICT Act for new cases.
