Swiatek to face Sabalenka for Rome title and Serena record

Iga Swiatek cruised past Coco Gauff 6-4, 6-3 to reach the Rome Open final, where she will face Aryna Sabalenka in a bid to match Serena Williams’ record of winning Madrid and Rome back-to-back. In the men’s quarterfinals, Chile’s Nicolas Jarry stunned Stefanos Tsitsipas 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 to reach his first Masters semi-final, while Tommy Paul also advanced to the semis after beating Hubert Hurkacz.
