Warrior’ Murray’s career ends in Olympic Games defeat
Andy Murray’s illustrious tennis career ended at the Paris Olympics as he and Dan Evans lost in the men’s doubles quarter-finals. The 37-year-old former world number one had previously announced this would be his final tournament. Murray’s retirement marks the end of another chapter in tennis’s golden generation, following Roger Federer’s exit in 2022. With Rafael Nadal also hinting at retirement, only Novak Djokovic remains active among the sport’s “Big Four” who dominated men’s tennis for over a decade. AFP
