Yunus stands in the rain to pay homage to Liberation War heroes
Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus, newly sworn in as Chief Adviser to Bangladesh’s interim government, paid respects at the National Memorial in Savar. Despite heavy rain, he laid wreaths and observed a moment of silence for Liberation War martyrs. The ceremony included a military salute and bugle call. Other advisers and officials were present. Yunus assumed his role three days after the Awami League government fell to a student-led mass movement. Daily Star
